1967 - 1969 Camaro Air Conditioning Box Delete Plate, ABS Plastic

New air conditioning delete box for your 67 - 69 Camaro. Allows you to retain heater and defroster, but eliminates AC functions. Increases space on right hand side of engine bay for headers and valve covers clearance. Stock Factory AC Heater Core tubes pass on both sides of the neck on this ABS plastic box. Allows the heater function to operate and offers a much cleaner look. Fits all 67, 68, and 69 factory air conditioning models. If you ever need to replace your heater core, just order one for a factory AC model and this AC delete box will do the rest. This box is approximately 3 1/4" deep on the blower motor side, and approximately 2 1/4" deep on the opposite side so you have more room like non-AC cars. The blower motor hole is approximately 5" in diameter, Order yours today!

Once in, it looks pretty good, but it's hardly a perfect fit.  I had to trim tab edges off of the piece and drill a new hole, but this still left gaps between the block-off part and the firewall of a quarter-inch.  Once I filled the gaps with sealer, it looked pretty good.  And the screw holes for the  blower motor are bigger than the stock evaporator panel, too.  You'll have to use different screws or attach those backing clips to the block-off part wall (which is what I did).
