New super heavy duty crossmember for your overdrive transmission. Works great for all 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E, Tremec TKO-500, TKO-600, and GM T-5 transmissions. Finished in a black powder coat. Includes mounting hardware. The best quality O/D crossmember we've found available. Transmission Mount is purchased separately, and we recommend a Polyurethane Transmission Mount, such as our Polyurethane part # TRA-724.
TRA-808 installation notes:
This crossmember is installed with the GForce label facing the REAR of the vehicle. A second determining feature is the crossmember center tube section has a 1/2″ in. drain hole located on the BOTTOM and should be on the PASSENGER side next to the exhaust hump weldment.
The crossmember is installed so that the exhaust humps are towards the floor of the car and open to bottom. The Exhaust runs under the crossmember. To utilize the new provided 7/16″ in. mounting hardware, it is necessary to enlarge the OEM holes in the frame. If the installer chooses to utilize the stock size 3/8″ in. hardware, it is STRONGLY recommended that installer obtains Grade#8 high-strength fasteners & washers to compensate. Finished in a durable black-satin powdercoat paint. Includes new high-strength, Grade #8 mounting hardware. Purchase transmission mount separately. A Polyurethane transmission mount recommended, like our Part # TRA-724.
( Note: The distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes is approximately 30-3/8″ inches. Be sure to measure your frame First, to ensure proper selection.) Fits all 67, 68, and 69 models with a 700R4, 4L60 ,4L60E, Tremec TKO-500, TKO-600, and GM T-5 transmissions.

THIS CROSSMEMBER IS INSTALLED WITH THE G FORCE LABEL FACING THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. A SECOND DETERMINING FEATURE IS CROSSMEMBER CENTER TUBE HAS A 1/2" DRAIN SLOT LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM AND ON THE PASSENGER SIDE NEXT TO THE HUMP WELDMENT. THE CROSSMEMBER IS INSTALLED SO THAT THE EXHAUST CLEARANCE HUMPS ARE CLOSED ON THE TOP AND OPEN ON THE BOTTOM. TO UTILIZE THE PROVIDED 7/16 HARDWARE IT IS NECESSARY TO ENLARGE THE HOLES IN THE FRAME RAILS. IF THE INSTALLER CHOOSES TO UTILZE THE STOCK SIZE 3/8 HARDWARE, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT THE INSTALLER OBTAINS GRADE 8 FASTENERS AND WASHERS TO COMPENSATE.
